In his paintings and sculptures, Ryan Cullen addresses political and ideological structures. Nazanin Noori explores the connection between architecture, sculpture and sound, creating multi-sensory narratives that combine intercultural poetic and musical sources. Prateek Vijan examines who is granted access to which systems and in what way. With his installations, he confronts visitors with situations of exclusion and barriers, which he makes spatially tangible.

The Kulturkreis has awarded the ars viva prize for visual arts annually since 1953 to outstanding young artists under 35 living in Germany. The Marta Herford is the first of two exhibition venues. The exhibition will move to the Kunstverein Braunschweig in December.
