Marta Café

The large copper-clad gallery above the generously curved counter of the Marta Café is a highlight of Frank Gehry's architecture.

In addition to the unique architecture, the terrace on the idyllic River Aa behind the museum contributes to the special ambiance. From the very beginning, artworks from the Marta Collection have also been presented in the Marta Café, so that the enjoyment of art is accompanied by culinary delights beyond the exhibition rooms.

On the gallery in the restaurant room are seating furniture designed by the architect himself, as well as the so-called “Gehry Lounge,” which provides separate privacy. Civil weddings can be performed here,
which can be followed directly afterwards with a toast in the Marta Café.

The Marta Café has been open since summer 2024. The gastronomic establishment is run by Team Laffontien and offers visitors a range of fresh regional and seasonal dishes as well as a wide selection of drinks.
